This is a great story! Right Proper Brewing in Washington, DC, invested in rooftop solar panels and energy efficiency. The brewery building’s entire roof is covered by solar panels, and the owners are building a solar canopy that’s going to come out from the front of our building and cover a little outdoor seating area for our guests. Those are going to be layered, translucent solar panels.
On average, the prediction is anywhere from 75 to 85 percent of the building’s consumed electricity will come from solar power, and at peak times during the summer, the owners are going to be producing more electricity than they’re consuming.
